The fusion of contemporary east and west music results in a brilliant combination of lively beats. Check out some of these examples below
This first video is called the Bhangra music in Pakistan and India. It comes from Punjab a province the majority of which lies in Pakistan and some parts in India. This is a clip from an entry in Britain's Got talent 2008. The dancers are Suliman Mirza (MJ Guy) and Madhu Sing (Cleaner guy) watch the whole video to see the surprise.
This is a fusion version done by contemporary South Asian music group Tigerstyle. The basic recipe of the style is mixing East with West, as is this case of Tigerstyle's Nachna Onda Nei (featuring Kaka Bhania).
So hows that It's a familiar and not so typical mix of Billy Jean, Ice Ice Baby,it's a track that you would tap your foot to while headed into town on a Friday night. But its the vocals that really make the magic happen. I'm not really sure how to describe or define the punjabi singing style--an aural smile will be playing through your speakers as you hear the enchantingly fun melody that frosts the cake.
Some more Bhangra and Latin mix
